Meet our summer team.
Our Summer Day Camp staff are environmental and outdoor educators with training in education, marine science, and environmental science. We partner with local parks and NGOs to bring the little wild things to life.

Brianne holds a master's in education from Western Governors University and a B.A. in liberal studies from Cal State Channel Islands. She has worked and directed outdoor programming for 12 years. She is currently completing her Site Supervisor Permit for Early Childhood at Ventua College. She is a certified agricultural literacy educator and school garden coordinator.
Elle holds a bachelor of science in environmental studies from UC Santa Barbara with an emphasis in marine science. She has worked in the outdoor field for the past 5 years, and is a teacher in the school year at Catalina Island Marine Institute (CIMI). She has been a marine science researcher in the PISCO lab, Dr. Jen Martin's lab, and Dr. Armand Kuris' lab.
Savana holds a Bachelor's of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor's of Science in Business from Cal State Channel Islands. During the school year she is the program coordinator of WOLF Outdoor Education where she leads and plans STEM and nature-based activities for up to 150 children at a time. She has been working with children 2 years.
Quinn is a junior at UC Los Angeles in the Environmental Science department concentrating in environmental engineering. She has spent the past two summers interning for Ventura Land Trust as an environmental intern and the Port of Seattle sustainability intern. She is the chair of the Ocean Resources for Conservation and Advocacy group at UCLA. As a Ventura native, she grew up at the Patagonia Preschool and our beaches!
Aline is a junior at UC Santa Barbara and is studying Environmental Studies and Earth Sciences. She has worked for the past three summers at Sandy Days Outdoor Camp and Camp Hollywoodland. She is a researcher for Turtle Up Non-Profit in Santa Barbara and has been a student researcher in Volcanology in Sicily. She serves on the Environmental Law Club, Mock Trial Club, and the Green Energy Committee.
Melissa holds a master of liberal arts in sustainability from Harvard University and a master of science in environmental education from Montreat College. She also holds an Outward Bound Teacher Certificate, a Harvard Mentor Teacher Certificate, a Harvard natural resource management certificate, and an MIT certified makerspace certificate. She has 23 years in environmental science and education. She is a trained California Naturalist, and has a bachelor of science in outdoor education. In 2023, she was named Santa Barbara Environmental Teacher of the Year.
